Overview
Project Dry Hire 8.0T–11T empty container handler range, built for container logistics operations where stack density, cycle efficiency, and ground-bearing constraints rule out reach stackers and conventional forklifts can't do the job.
The capacity band is engineered around the full mix of empty ISO containers — 20ft at 2.2 tonnes, 40ft at 3.8, 45ft high-cube close to 4.5 — with room at working radius for spreader weight and boom extension. Purpose-built with telescopic booms and spreader attachments, they stack four to six containers high in tight yard configurations and run the cycle times that volume empty handling demands.
Common applications include empty container parks and depots, intermodal rail terminal staging, port auxiliary yard management, offshore and remote project base logistics where containers form site accommodation or temporary structures, and major construction programmes running significant site container fleets that need a dedicated machine without committing hook time.
The operational case over reach stackers is largely ground bearing. Reach stackers impose tyre loads requiring engineered hardstand across the full travel path. An 8–11T empty handler operates within limits that most prepared working platforms can handle without structural prep — a meaningful advantage on constrained urban sites and live civil programmes where reach stacker infrastructure isn't justified for empties-only work.
